Nursery Overview

The Sanctus Lumen Christi model for Nursery education is the prestigious
Montessori’s system of learning. This was adopted based on its numerous
benefits. The section with an experienced head of Nursery, and not
incorrigible staff; then Excellence is just but, a startingpoint.



The Nursery section is as old as the school. The section started with the first
pupil and so was established in 2005. It began in earnest and has risen to
enviable status, though still growing.

She took up office on is” September, 2010. She was the head Of nursery
from 2010 to 2013 Many innovative works and programmes were
engineered by her. She was a dynamic woman of great input. She was snatched by the unfortunate hands of death on The educational sector and the humanity will greatly miss this gem.



There has been diverse in-service training particularly for the nursery
section teachers and staff alike. The essence is to bring about a whole child who is all round developed to meet the demands of the society. Such programmes include:

  1. Effective teaching of handwriting and hand coordination. Organized
    January,2015. This is meant to inculcate into teachers how to handle
    pupils for better handwriting and firm holding of the hand.
  2. Effective use of timetable. Teaching how to properly use timetable to
    maximally achieve objectives or goals of the day.
  3. Interactive session among staff to air out views, welfare issues,
    challenges and progress made in their areas. This is done in different


The following achievements are some of the feats made in the nursery

  1. All pupils leaving nursery could read and write effectively.
  2. Drastic reduction of injury to the barest minimum in the section.
  3. Ability to handle some basic domestic things.
